On the morning of August 5 ^th, 2019, a summer practice group of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tongji University went to Chengdu Longquanyi District to visit Liu Honghai and Jiang Yan, both are outstanding graduates of the college, in order to gain a deeper understanding of the personal development of graduates who are employed at the grassroots level.

Liu Honghai is a graduate of the 2016 “100 Million” special program talents in Longquanyi District. Jiang Yan is a student of Tongji University in Sichuan in 2017. He is currently working at the Development and Reform Bureau of Longquanyi District, Chengdu. The interview team consisted of 4 students from Ben Shuobo, led by Wang Lingling, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and graduate student counselor Zhou Long. They conducted detailed and comprehensive exchanges with the two alumni.

The interview task of the summer practice team Chengdu Branch to the grassroots employment alumni in Longquanyi District was successfully completed. The students strongly felt the pragmatic attitude and struggle spirit of the two outstanding alumni working at the grassroots level. Everyone has said that in the future study and work, they will always be the first to pursue excellence and become a pillar of society.
