Tongji polymer is one of the top departments in China and is an international centre of excellence for the Polymeric Materials. Our research and teaching span a range of traditional subdisciplines of polymeric materials and several interdisciplinary themes. We are actively engaged in multidisciplinary research programmes across Tongji University and with other universities, research institutes and industry.

We have excellent physical infrastructure and academic resources.We have got significant scientific research achievements. The excellence of our research is demonstrated by manyawards, including the 2^ndprize of the National Sci-Tech Advance Award, the 2^ndprize of ministry of education science and technology invention, the 2^ndand the 3^rdprize of Shanghai science and technology progress, the 3^rdprize of Shanghai science and technology invention, and so on.

In teaching, we have teaching laboratories and a range of courses such as Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Physics, Functional Polymeric Materials (in English), and etc.
